Hi every one!
I thought this might be interesting to a real Saab enthusiast like you guys are :)
I have not done any races with Saabs lately, but I have helped my cousin with an interesting "kind of a Saab project"
Engines are from Saab 9000.
You should hear this one an a site

Boat with Saab engines
It is true that boat is old fashion New boats have all sorts of emission etc. regulation so this kind of modification is only possible with old boats. In Finland that is. Althought, the boat looks better in live, because it went thru total renovation and all surfaces are cleaned and new painted.
Speed is a bit over 35knots at that video. Next run we will run a longer distance and also trim the boat better. 'We guessi it will do around 40knots and after that these small (19") propellers will start to cavitate. We will check the speed with GPS.
If next test run goes well too, then new and bigger propellers will be ordered for next summer.
Actually a night panel switch would be great for this time of year. Its very dark at sea and difficult to see anything after sunset because of illumination of dashboard.
