Hi guys ... some of you might remember me from a few years ago when I was doing a lot of research into Classic 900 Special Editions. If not ... I'm Orca from Bradford, UK. I made my introduction here: http://www.saabiklubi.ee/foorum/viewthread.php?tid=624 back in 2005.

Although that website is no longer online (due to a number of issues), I have kept in touch with Cyber over the years and just want to thank him (and the rest of you here) for the Eesti Saabiklubi calendar which he sent to me!

Thank you!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all :)

The calendar is a lovely collection of photographs and we will enjoy the pictures through the coming year.

In another correspondence you (Cyber) mentioned about the sunsets. I thought I'd share some pictures with your guys - this is our winter in one of the highest villages in England.

The next day we had snow, sun AND mist

Something has been playing in the field overnight ...

... let's just shape one or two up like yesterday's pictures:

Bleak, but warm ...

Moving to the crest of the hill, I could see the cause of the mist: low cloud. Often we get it where we have blazing sun, yet folks down the road complain what a dull and foggy day it was. Today was odd being in the cloud, sort of above it and easily below it :? This is our little village just outside Bradford, a major city in the UK.

The strong sun was making a real spectacle of the higher scenery:

... and just below cloud level as things got a little clearer and perhaps a little more crisp I saw these interesting formations, presumably as a result of wetter cold weather (in the clouds?) and a light breeze the force the development of the structure in one plane - these were about as long as toothbrush bristles:

Having walked back up 20 or 30' of altitude I noticed the same structures on the ground at this windswept area:

Starting the very rapid descent from the crest of our hill down ...

I also saw evidence of deer in tracks, but they will have been long gone by the time I was walking out.

Climbing back up, here's the road into Halifax (a town outside Bradford) at the top of the picture:

... and back home ... is this a "fail"?

An absolutely beautiful walk!

... and today, we had another walk:

... we had a really odd snowfall last night which was more crystal than the underlying snow.

Collecting holly and fir for decorating in the house.
