Try to sell it one more time and we´ll see what happens next.
My previous 9-3 2008 was in a good condition til the day i added it to auto24. Since then i had to replace some small things and crappy steering wheel vacuum hose. Eventually things work out and car headed for better lands.

After getting the car back another problem started a week or so later. Symptoms were loud startup, exhaust smell in the cabin, just wasnt running quite right...exhaust manifold gasket was leaking... thats now been fixed for another 100 euros.
Also replaced some of the tolder tired klambers with mikalor / tbolt klambers to make sure no leaks there.
Bought some crc mass air flow cleaner tonight and will give the MAF and good clean this weekend...
.....so touch wood, it might not break this week
Also got a machine polisher today will have a go at detailing the car myself following some you tube guides...

I think i will take it to a proper place safer..
So after the manifold gasket was repaired, car ran a lot better, but still not as smooth as i would have liked. Bought some CRC MAF cleaner, and this has made a huge difference which was a surprise.
Next thing to tackle is re-gapping the spark plugs. As i understand the standard plugs which were fitted are gapped to 1.0mm, but should be re-gapped to 0.7-0.8mm before installation..im pretty sure that wont have been done.
Need to also replace this...https://www.esaabparts.com/saab/parts/12611801 as mine has the symptoms of not starting properly after adding fuel, apparently the vac leak in a stuck purge valve can affect the idle...should start there with buying things as its cheap.
If those things dont sort it out, then new coil time i guess.
Once thats all done, going to order the V-Tuner map, 335hp and 400ftlb (540m) torque.
New mats also ordered this week as the old ones are broken, friend of mine found a guy in Raasiku who makes custom mats based on a template, should get them on Sunday.
Cheers

Just checked, that was real while ago.. 7 years already.. So prices are not compareable now... something like 400 EEK (less than 30€) for a set...

this time were still only 35 so seems no inflation in the world of Matts
Rear brakes finally done today, no more weird noises from the back...
Taken off from sale now as not alot of interest and i cannot find anything i would enjoy as much that doesnt cost a fortune for servicing / brakes etc.
Really want a MB c63amg until i realised brakes were about 4k euros every 15k km...mental!
Does anyone know if i can upgrade the compressor side of the turbo on this car? Or does it already have the 19t?

I just for interest looked up this brake replacement thing. This price is when you buy the original parts. Why not go aftermarket which is way cheaper? The MBWorld forum probably has lots of topics concerning this.

So as the car is not selling anytime soon, its staying and i will treat it to some upgrades.
First thing was to take the car to VKM today to check for boost leaks, or anything else that might be problematic, coil packs etc. They found something quite interesting / distrubing there today. There was a boost / vacuum leak on the inlet manifold. Apparently the gasket was very broken, and worse than that some of the bolts holding the inlet manifold to the block were missing...I have no idea how long the car has been like that. Anyway, parts ordered it goes back in a week to be fixed. Will be interesting to see how to drives after that....
Also adding a 3" Turbo back exhaust and a Re-Tune. Toying with upgrading to a larger FMIC and hard pipe kit plus an intake as well but not decided yet. waiting for the Exhaust price as it needs to come from Finland i think.

cheers Heff, no news on that front yet, still waiting for the prices.
Seems there was some misunderstanding last time i was at the garage, luckily it wasn't the intake manifold gasket leaking, it was the throttle body / inlet pipe gasket leaking, so no big drama it was just old.
Got the car back today once it was fixed, and its quite the difference, didnt realise how much slower the car had been especially after 4krpm, pulls really hard again. Best part is its like driving something new again, have a bunch of power to get used to again.

Hello, havent updated for a while, only problems appearing as usual
Had the car to ESracing (very good service here by the way) yesterday to get a quote for custom Exhaust, and to put the car on the dyno just to see how all Running. Unfortunately car was down on power, although torque was fine.
Graph 206kw and 434NM at 1.1 bar - issue seems to be caused by a huge AFR spike, dunno why yet, but will start with basics explained below.
Video
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gxyztlIjUZI
Also got the quote for the custom Exhaust, but while in the air, alas guys found a new problem of power steering leaking again, which i can add to the list of broken rear window motor, and power seat which has stopped working (hopefully just a fuse)
So to try and fix the power issue, I have ordered a new MAF today, a new purge valve, and new PVC pipes. Also one shop has checked the power steering issue, and its just some seals so that will be fixed tomorrow. Window motor had to be ordered so that will be done next week.
Anyway, fun times, lots of cost as usual. Once i get this power issues fixed then will get the exhaust done and hopefully a new remap, and all will be well in the world again.

New MAF installed today, that made a huge difference actually
Power steering issue fixed, seals replaced
Electric seats fixed, was just a fuse
Need to find a window motor which is proving to be difficult, waiting feedback from second hand shop in sweden.
Ordered this on friday - maybe get some nice sound...
https://www.maptunparts.com/engine-comp ... 5-10-.html
And debating ordering the HR lowering springs from speedparts.se who also sell full upgrade kits (pistons rods etc) for the a28ner
