If you wanna have a peak, what sort of cars are / might be competing here's a link to the results of the event earlier this year that took place at the same airport

B-class is where I have my goals set and this is where the saab 2.3 belogs (lucily;) ), just like it is in local events where the current "go" is still far away from the front runners, thus we dont have any actual classes. Here are the results form our recent 1800m event

Hopefully it wont be to hot of a day, which is not good for a turbo stressed far beyond it limits

286kmh@1800 meters, very impressive. How much do you think that makes on 1600 meters?

Those results, what Sipelgaz posted, will not do any good now... B-class second place made 259 there, but managed 257 on one km (he won the class in front of Hook)! So people have worked on their cars also... I do not expect that kind of +20-30kmh increase on a mile, but still, he can make it quite fast.

Still, you guys have pretty good chance for a very high places.. Against very hot weather, there CO2 extinguisher.. Frozen IC can do wonders.. Or maybe some dry ice..

Of course there are always faster cars, even though they would not show up in these types of contest and I will be just happy to get a decent run through and then to see how long it will carry on the score bords. You newer know what will happen during the run and it better to wait after it driven and not to expect too much in advance.

I personally drive these types of contest annually, mainly as a measurement of personal development . Began year 2005 with 239km/h, 2006 254km/h, 2007 272km/h and this year 286km/h. Additional joy if ofcourse obtained if you find cars like Lambor's, Ferraries, Vipers, powerful AMG' M-bmw's etc behind you in the results at the end of the day.

In the 286 run speed at 1mile was 280km/h, weather something like 15C and wind from side (does not affect). 1km ~250km/h, but unlike hooks 242 run this is with 5th gear from 220km/h and up.
For heat control I run with water/methanol injection, but it alone is does not take car of the initial problem since it does not cool the air prior to the turbo's compressor which cause the drop in air delivery. Likewise the CO and dry ice will not cure it either, only a bigger turbo will do it.

Just a thought. If the finnish guys are also coming to the meeting after the ACM event, then it would be a great idea to put the tables around the cars :P

Besides, As I read from our US car forum (tqhq.ee/forum), they have rubbered (like rubbed lots of old drag tires onto pavement) and glued part of the track, as they hold 1/4 mile competitions there also. That makes quite a good traction in the middle of runway, which should help quite well to reach good speeds.

Katsuge ikka ennast väljendada nii et oleks aru saada kes tuleb ainult võistlusele kaasa elama, kes ainult grillile ja saunale ja kes mõlemale. Püüan siin õhtust plaani kuidagi majandada...

Other two have plan to come with family, but there are littlebit more challences to solve in here. All should be confirmed beginning of next week, when we will book a ferry. (and pay camping..)

Littlebit status of my car... my car was back to road just under one week after speedest bearing damage, as planned.. After few hundred km's with 1+bar boost, water (and pressure) was coming littebit out from coolant system's trough cap . I replaced again new engine top gasket (just after 1000km driven..) and i put new original bolts. Now it seems to accecpt 1.9bar boost w/o any broblem..
(installation failure.. or something mystical..)

I allso replaced my bosch -040 fuelpump (max ~500hp) with -044 pump (max ~700hp) and it seems that my current ~800cc injectors can bring almost enough fuel to keep afr ~11@1.9bar.. So no need to perform major fuel remapping before acmile.
Egt was also lowered from destructive 970.. to accetable 910c. Thanks to afr 13>11.
970c will cause valve damage for any longer run.


Now i have feelings to put new cam cover.. with accepted reason.

Still. I have feelings that its big challence to get top5 in this time even if all goes fine, thanks to other even faster finish saabs.. (three of other now coming saabs was 3-18km faster few month ago at speedparty@Finland.)

Lets see what hapends, and who's car will move after competion without rope..

Hopefully we can make acmile more intressting for local saab freaks to watch.

Thanks a lot for arranging so much for us, without all of your efforts I would have skipped the whole thing. I will also take my 10 yrs son with me and we'll be coming with Jaspers T5suited silver Talladega to Acmile. Maybe next year with my Cab ...

It takes a little time until organizers process all data. Names a listed usually after payments are arrived.

Cannot say that at the moment. Last time you were a surprise entries. There is not much promotional talks about this event on different boards, even not on orginizers (Audi Club) forum. It has been a well known (and well organized) event for some years now and people are coming to watch anyway. It is 3rd and last race of Top Speed Cup, so it might attract some more visitors, as there is no certaint winner yet. (even you, Hook.. If you win and top 3 in B-class will not get any points.. )

I saw one of organizers of 1000EUR race talking to you (or was it Jesse) after last event, just before leaving. They were very happy about foreigners and results and might be even more surprised now..

About weather: Accuweather says: Cloudy and warmer with thunderstorms. High: 26 °C Realfeel®: 29 °C, so not the best condition for turbo cars. Maybe some cooling equipment would be a good idea.

Our local forecast says: cloudy with clearings, Starting from south-Estonia it starts some rain, but by the evening possibility of rain decreases. Haapsalu is not in south, so it still might be dry. But still very warm...

ANyway, we'll keep an eye on forecasts and write it here...
