SAAB Indian Summer 2007, Aluksne, Latvia
Dear SAAB friends!!!
Everybody is welcome to Aluksne this fall! As Otepāā event is not going to happen this year, we give everyone the opportunity to gather almost near the Otepāā.
The Indian Summer 2007 gathering takes place on the 15th -16th of September at the guest house Jaunsētas http://www.jaunsetas.lv.
It is going to be a 2 day picnic and tenting. Food is not provided, but must be brought by you. Nevertheless, the pub “Katrīnkrogs” will be available near the gathering place.
Saturday, September 15th
9:00 Gathering at the supermarket “DEPO” parking place, Sigulda highway 6. Join the SAAB cars parked aloof.
9:30 Setting off - Hit the road!
12:15 Meeting before Alūksne (at the former police post), waiting for the falling behind cars.
12:30 Arrival at the guest house.
12:30 - 14:00 Pitching of the tents.
14:00 Briefing/instruction for the Day ride.
14:30 Start of the first car for the Day ride.
16:30 Finish of the first car from the Day ride.
16:30 - 19:30 Free time, sporting activities, eating, sharing the impressions
19:30 Briefing/instruction for the Night ride.
20:30 Start of the first car for the Night ride.
23:00 Finish of the first car from the Night ride.
23:00 Night entertainment, bathing/sauna, sitting around the campfire
Sunday, September 16th
4:00 Brothers of the angle meeting on the lake - fishing.
8:00 Morning coffee and activities.
12:00 Awarding ceremony.
The list of the necessary things will be announced later.
The guesthouse has 4 bedrooms (2x2beds and 2x3beds) and 4 camping bungalows (double bed + double sofa), the rest of the participants must take tents with them. The place has good facilities:
shower cabins and WC for tent lodgers;
a playground for children;
football field; basketball and volleyball courts;
water sport possibilities (waterskiing, riding a bladder, fishing, motorboat etc.)
