Very nice 9000 indeed :)

Btw how comfy is the ride? I see that you've changed springs, dampers and bushings also? I bet its better when doing fast cornering, but hows the usual, every-day ride in the city with this rough-kind of suspension?

Hi Steve, that's a killer ride you've got there.

How have the mods affected the average gas mileage?

Marquis, the question about rough ride with 17" rims is not quite appropriate - remember that you don't get as shitty roads as here anywhere else in Europe. Oh, but they do get vast amounts of speedbumps tho :)

i have 17" rims, but i have ordinary suspension and the ride is not as rough as you might think even on estonias shitty roads.

Let me decide that, ok?
I have 17" wheels on my car, and i know how's that like. My question was about the stiffer suspension.

Hi all,
Sorry I did not get back to you sooner but the Saab broke down yesterday:wall: not too bad only a broken pully, the problem was my wife was driving at the time and she was 120km away from home.

Cyber, the car is a manual and a 1996 model cse.

Now to the suspension.....it is harsher than standard but not as bad as the bilstein kit, if I had the choice I would like to fit the Eibach springs, unfortunatly Eibach have stopped making them for the 9k.
My second choice would be the springs that Abbott Racing sell, I have driven an Aero with their setup and I was very impressed, it was more comfortable than standard yet firmer but don't get me wrong...I am happy with the setup I have it is 100% improvement over what I had, I can now drive around corners at high speed with no bodyroll unlike before when I would bounce around them :D
The steering also feels more precise and it has also helped acceleration....less dip at the back end.
I have only changed the front and rear anti roll bars to poly I may do the upper engine mounts at a later date but that will be it, many people here have changed the gearbox mounts etc. but are now changing them back to rubber as it increases the vibration in the cabin.

Unfortunatly I am unable to take up your kind invitation to attend your summer meet this year....I have spent far too much money this year and I am saving up for our Saab track day 2005 which is to be held on May 19th at the Goodwood race circuit in England, I shall post a couple of pictures...if I survive;)

Nice numbers, just what is AP22?? Ever tried 1/4 mile? How high your boost gets??
I somewhere saw one classic turbo 900 owner saying that he doesn't kow exactly how fast he is going 0-100 (kph), but 100-200 is 12 seconds..:). Nice to know that SAAB owners do not deal with low speed numbers..;)

Here is the AP22 http://www.race-technology.com/WebPage2 ... 2Home.html

I have not tried the 1/4mile yet, I have only used it a couple of times.....waiting for better weather:)

My boost goes upto 1.4bar since fitting the high flow intercooler, before it was 1.1bar-1.2bar.

It will be interesting to see if it goes higher with the custom software from Nordic tuning.....should be getting this within the next week or two.

Hi Steve ... good to see a fellow countryman braving the outer regions of the SAAB community :thumb: You will, of course know about 900 Aero dot com, I'm sure ... you'll find a few familiar names and faces there, too. Infact, Aljoga introduced the Estonian contingent over there.

See you around.
