Mida siinsed saabimehed arvaksid liitumisest BMW-ga?
Kas see oleks kah nagu pühaduseteotus?
Mulle see mõte väga meeldiks, arvestades BMW grupi tehnilist taset ja pmst liidripositsiooni kütusekulu vähendamises, mis pole just dünaamika arvelt.

Some press reports in the US have BMW looking into Saab. They would have Mini (quirky intro car), Saab (quirky entry level luxury cars with front wheel and AWD cars and CUV'S) and BMW (high end luxury cars with rear wheel and AWD cars and CUV'S). I sell Saabs and I almost never have people shopping Saab vs BMW. In my estimation it would give BMW a small volume boost in a well know brand that has been totally mismanaged with the very strong possibility of real growth if Saab were to be turned around. Plus, the price will be right and there are already 2 new products all developed, ready to go. That has to be worth alot. Plus access to XWD, Saab turbocharging, Bio fuels, and the Scandinavian designs could open new doors to BMW. If I had to guess, I'd have BMW making Saab into their "Green" brand. I hope the press report here is right, BMW has a good record of success (other than with Rover)

@max:
BMW was rumoured to have looked into both Saab and Volvo, as acquiring an existing OEM/brand was considered for the 'green luxury' brand they would like to introduce. Also, it was rumoured they walked away because of the poor financial condition of both companies. I'd actually like to see Saab as a part of the BMW Group. Mini will reach its potential with the Crossman, and some say that's one variant too many. A luxury brand with strong environmental responsibility ('green luxury') with cars no bigger than the 5 series would fit perfectly there.
